Need party ideas 4 upcoming Retirement Party i.e. gifts for guests, party theme, etc.?

I'm retiring after 30 years of service with the City of Detroit and need ideas for a party theme, and suggestions for an inexpensive item I can give to guests upon the conclusion of the evening. Also need cute color scheme with winter colors, as party is scheduled for December 1st.

Need party ideas 4 upcoming Retirement Party i.e. gifts for guests, party theme, etc.?
congratulations on your retirement. indeed 30 yrs. is a long time--hope you did your job well. re. ideas --here are a few -- free for you as a gift.

a. take plenty of pictures with the participants -- and have them printed the same day -- easy get yourself a camera -- find a young person to enter them into the computer and print them in the back room. (all as a surprise -- of course taking the pictures is no surprise). if you don't have a color printer -- get one -- it looks you have a computer, that is all you need. don't forget to autograph the pictures....

b. for colors -- buy and hang all kinds of balloons -- one dollar store will provide you plenty -- in all colors.

c. I am sure you are having a cake -- again on the idea -- of a good cake -- where your city hall picture appears -- on a special "eatable paper" and you plant it -- on the cake and eat it. hope your baker can do it for you. ( I can, if you know how to reach me). again happy retirement and enjoy this is your time...not the guests time to enjoy. voila.
Reply:How about a bunch of broken smashed alarm clocks that you will never ever have to use again. Or pictures of alarm clocks in the circle with the line through it. An inexpensive item may but a cute ice scraper. Lordy knows you are going to need them soon, oops I mean the non-retired will be needing them soon. Are there any colors you are known for? Go with that.
Reply:FIRST THING: DON'T FORGET THE STRIPPERS.

AND THE DOLLAR BILLS.

AND THE CONDOMS.
