Which party is the party of 'ME', and which is the party of 'US'?

What party focuses on the individual and what party focuses on society?

Which party is the party of 'ME', and which is the party of 'US'?
The Democrats have more of a "common good orientation". In fact, I think they used that phrase in some of their campaigning last fall.

The Republicans are more business oriented, and although they talk about their policies as being "for" "small business", which would be helping individuals, this party mostly supports large, multi-national corporations with its tax and trade policies.

One way to look at the difference is that the Democrats favor social welfare as a safety net for the individual and Republicans favor tax breaks which are welfare for corporations. The Democrats can go wrong by not attaching time limits to their form of welfare, and the Republicans go wrong when they hand out huge tax reductions to corporations which reinvest their profits and tax savings in other countries.
Reply:they are both the party of ME...folks generally out to get what they can; money, power, influence in some form or another.
Reply:Libertarians focus on the individual, reps and dems focus on society, although reps claim to focus on individuals, their policies clearly say otherwise.
Reply:Dems focus on the individuals

Repubs focus on themselves and their rich cronies

No party is unbiased enough to focus on society in general.
Reply:This question is meaningless.
