How 'party' are UC schools?

Which UC's are known "party" schools? On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most, how much partying do the UC's do? I know that all schools party but the partying issue is a big factor for me when I'm thinking of college.

How 'party' are UC schools?
None are really party schools, compared to the state schools. You actually have to work at the UC schools. Plus there are smart people there.

Go to community college. That's right up your alley.
Reply:I see nothing wrong with partying. Who the **** wants to study 24/7? Where's the fun? The college experience HAS to include partying, it's all about meeting new kinds of people. So don't be so harsh as to say he has to go to community college. State schools offer a balance of both a solid education and sufficient partying.
Reply:There is plenty of partying at any public university to satisfy even the most avid partier. These so-called "party school" reputations are not really based on much. It's true that partying and academic quality are often inversely proportional, but the size of the institution matters too. Big, mediocre schools are the best for partying.
Reply:The #1 party school of the UC system is UCSB.

UC Santa Barbara is ranked #10 on the Princeton Review list of party schools.

So, #1 in the entire UC system and #10 nationally.

As for the other schools, I am not too sure. But, people tell me that UCSD is not much of a party school... it's "socially dead". of course, i can't say if that is true or not.
Reply:I guess.
