Socialist Worker's Party-Advocates the end of capitalism. They are pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-social programs-pro-welfare, pro-socialized health care and housing.

I'd say it is a toss-up between the Independence or Labor parties, just from being stuck with the limited choices on your list.





I do have to ask, why the Greens didn't make your cut? What have you got against them? Seriously, not trolling, just asking.





I mean, aside from to Socialist Party above, you seem to have stacked your list with mainly centrist and right-centrist choices.





What's up with that, really? Just asking, no offense meant.





Edit/Update: Ok, now I see...yeah, I guess Labor is somewhat left of center, though I am a bit confused at the "loose federation" term for the Greens, I thought that one more applied to the independents (note the lowercase, meaning the ones who were running Ross Perot back in the day). :) Still, it is good to know some thought went behind the Question, and *thank you* for being straight with me. :)





I had briefly thought in a dark-mooded moment that you might just be trying to *marginalize* left-center people even further from the mainstream than what most folks do, but I see that isn't your agenda. :)





So my choice, in more detail: I'd think that the Independence and Labor Parties, if they really wanted to get major support, might want to consider *merging* or joining into a larger organization if that is allowed.





I mean, I do agree with the Independence Party on social issues, in terms of being pro-freedom, and anti-police state or anti-nit-picker, but I am not sure about where they stand with the poorer half of the nation, the people who have hurt the most under neo-conservatism for the past 26 years.





Labor, on the other hand, seems to have some decent ideas about labor rights and about protecting ordinary citizens from the worst excesses of Big Business, but they seem to be a one-sided party that doesn't stand for much *outside* of their strengths.





So if it were just up to me, those two would join forces, get on the ballot in all states....and maybe earn my vote *once we are damn sure* Bush and his ilk are gone, gone, and oh yeah, GONE already. :)





And as for the wisecracks concerning Socialism and Communism. Not that I am either one, but I *do* know my history well enough to know that a) the two are different, and that b) anyone out to confuse the two is mainly out to pull that tired old McCarthy trick of painting all "Pinkos" with the same brush used to blacken lefty dictators, without just cause.





I mean, really, is Tony Blair the same as Joe Stalin? Because last I checked, the UK was "socialist" compared to the US. How about Koizumi, is he Pol Pot? Because Japan is definitely "socialist" compared to the US. Doesn't make them communist in the slightest, does it? :) Not unless you *want* to piss off our closest allies since the backside of forever....





But I digress....point seems to be that the priority right now is to get *rid* of Pinky and the Brain up in D.C. before they completely ruin the nation like they managed to do with New Orleans....





Third Parties that really reflect our *real* interests can come later once we know the nation is safe from the Resident Idiots We Did NOT Elect. Sorry...gotta take a hit for the team and save our nation first. Then we rid ourselves of the CEO/One Percenter sellouts. :)

Furthermore, all democrats would switch to the Socialist Worker's Party because it's the closest they could come to communism, without actually being called communists.
