My birthday party delema!! HELP!!!?
typical spoiled rich ****** who never had any problems in life other then not scoring the right guy or not finding the right nail polish. you should be on mtvs my super sweet 16 for the whole world to laugh at.
Reply:My opinion is that you have to think about what is important to you and why you want the big party.

In some cultures their big party is at age 13- this is the age of accountability and the time they feel they are moving from childhood to adulthood. In other cultures it is 15- in Mexico they have a Quince AƱos which is the traditional coming out party- or coming out into adulthood. In America, traditionally we have a sweet 16 as the coming out, leaving childhood, entering adulthood party.

Often teenagers get impatient and just want a big party so will do it earlier than age 16. If you just want a big party, then it does not matter when you do it. If it is of special significance for the reasons these traditions started in the first place- then it does not matter the age- it matters if you are ready for that or not.

What is the significance of the big party for you??

For my children- I had an extra special family party at age 13- for us it was a moving into the age of accoutability- it was only family but it was more significant than other parties. I will let them have their big 'coming out' party with their friends between 15 and 17, whenever they are ready and show the maturity that they are ready to be adults and declare it to the world.
Reply:16th. For now, just treat your fifteenth party like you did your fourteenth... and your thirteenth. And the others.
Reply:i agree. my sweet sixteen was HUGE. it was last sunday, anwyway .. you want ALL of your birthdays to be special, but save it for the sixteenth. size it down for the fifteeth! have fun♥
