Party Planning Help?

Ok. for my 15th birthday, me and my best friend (were eight days apart in age) are haveing a big party. We have no idea what all needs to go into party planning or w/e so we really need help! our limit is about 300-400 dollars, and were thinking about doing a hollywood themed party with a red carpet and photographers, and then have everyone dress in red carpet attire. Then the rest of the night we will just have music and dancing. We think we found a good place to rent out thats big enough, and only 100 dollars for two hours. We need a DJ, lights, decorations, and a cake. Any party planners out there that would give me advice? what else do i need? and what are estimations on what each of these would cost. any advice your willing to offer would be greatly appreciated! THANKS! ---JAiME AND ANSlEY

Party Planning Help?
fisrt off, happy birthday. second, don't spen 100 hundered dollars on two hours of usage for a room. why don't you try checking into a church annex or volunteer fire dept. building. most of those places will let you donate a small fee so that you can have the building.

if your families celebrate christmas you already have light. just use any of the clear or 'white' lights that you would put on you tree. instead of renting red carpet, check out some red fabric at a quilt supply or fabric shop. i'm not sure but it probably won't cost more that 3 dollars a yard. plan for about 15 yards. ( from the parking lot into the building)

chances are that your cake will be the most expensive. try a cake decorating class in your area. they might let you buy a cake if you aren't asking for 100% perfection. plenty of punch shouldn't cost you more $20 for the evening.

that's all i can think of to help you but if you want any more advice just e-mail me @ bethontherun@yahoo.com and i'll try to help you even more.remember to ask around, don't just take the first price you get. a lot of places might go cheaper if you bring them the numbers from there competitors.

once again, happy birthday!
Reply:I am around your age and I think that sounds like a really fun theme! However, I am not sure that 300-400 dollars will cover it. If budget is a huge issue, maybe you could consider having a DJ play at either of your houses and just having a huge get-together in. (This works great for boy-girl parties, just make sure there's tons of food!) Also, maybe you should get a chocolate fountain. I am not kidding when I say that those things amouse some people for HOURS on end. lol!
Reply:it is wel indeed a good idea to have a bollywood party and yu can invite ur friends by saying them to be any of the actress or actor and have some dramas and some personal talks
