18th birthday party ideas?

I'm turning 18 in about a month, and i'm in the usa, so no parties with drinking, and i'm a good kid, so no stripclubs or anything else like that.





i've had pool parties like my whole life, but we moved and i don't have a pool. i'd be cool with just a fun theme that we could pool off in my backyard or something. :)





and... i'm really all about having fun with my friends, and i'm the first to turn 18, so i want my party to rock. i'll have family there too, so it needs to be appropriate.





i just want it to be laugh yourself to death, best time of your life, greatest party ever, remember till your 43, kind of party. :)

Reply:I have absolutely NO idea. Not an easy call with parents there and all. How about if a select group of your friends and you escape later in the evening to an interesting destination, like a hot disco. Or, you could hold the party somewhere unconventional, like the zoo, or McDonald's play park.

Reply:I would imagine your party would depend upon the taste's of both you and the friends that you invite. If your friends dig rock, get a band. Taking everybody out to paintball is cool if you are into sports and activities. If you throw a traditional party try having an ice cream social where you get all different ice creams and toppings, throw in snow cones etc. No pool? Do you have a local community pool that you may be able to rent out? Or try slip and slides and belly flop contests into the small turtle pools.


The main thing is what does the crowd you hang with like to do? Find that common thread and then go big with it.
