Which political party is the party of the rich?

The Democrats keep saying that they are the candidates for the working people and the poor.





Oh really?





As of 2 yrs ago Senator Kerry was the richest man in the Senate? Together he and his wife have a net worth of about 3/4 of a billion dollars, which is 6-7 times the net worth of the next wealthiest Senator.





And, by the way, the second richest Senator was also a Democrat (Herb Kohl, D-Wisconsin),





And so was the third richest Senator (John Rockefeller, D -West Virginia),





And so was the fourth richest Senator (Jon Corzine, D-New Jersey),





And so was the fifth richest Senator (Dianne Feinstein, D-California).





Not only that but the combined wealth of those five Democrat Senators is greater than the wealth of all the remaining 95 Senators combined. Also 9 0f the 12 wealthiest Senators are Democrats.





Now let's hear again that it is the Democrat Party is the party of the working man and the poor and the Republican Party is the party of the rich. Rediculous!!!!!!

It amazes me that so many fall for this class warfare garbage pitting the rich against the poor here in America. And let me say I am by no means rich! One of the freedoms we have here is the freedom to work hard at what ever we choose and some become rich and successful. Why is this a bad thing? Why do so many think all rich people are evil and believe they become rich off the backs of the poor? We need rich people! Have you ever gotten a job from a poor person? Yet that is exactly what the Democrats and Rino's (republican in name only) are selling us. How dare they think it is their right to take away from the rich to give to the poor and the illegals? Just frosts me! If they are successful at doing this you will see our economy stagnate to a degree that we will all suffer from it! They want to do away with capitalism and replace it with socialism by calling it "progressive thinking" last time I looked socialism has failed every time it has been tried. And by the way we have as a whole the richest poor people in the world! Come on folks use some common sense.....

Reply:And something else everybody needs to take the blinders off to is every time they say "we want to raise taxes, but ONLY on the rich" you better first ask who they consider "rich" before you offer up an applause - you'd be surprised...And they don't consider themselves rich, oh no, they consider themselves as "privileged"...............................

Reply:When is the American people going to wake up? 99% of congress are millionaires! Your president is worth, by his own statement, 21 million. 99% of the presidental candidates are at the very least VERY well off. This is a government of the wealthy. Look at the last tax break. If you are making under 50,000 your tax cut is very small or non existant . The greastest cut was to 250,000 or greater. The republicans were the majority in congress for many years %26amp; they did nothing about the influx of illegal immigrants. Why? That's what corporate America wanted, cheap labor. Now that democrats are in power it is no different.....nothing being done. Money knows NO political persuasion. In a recent interview, General Abizid stated that the oil in Iraq played a significant role in our reason for being there. Oil = money. He also said he can see us being in Iraq for a possible 50 years! MONEY---MONEY---makes America go round! And we, the common, work-a-day people continually hammer each other about being "liberal or conservative". Wake up, there is no difference between the parties! They are both owned by MONEY!

why do Republicans push legislation (you know, what they ACTUALLY DO) that helps all the wealthy Dems so much?
Reply:Have you heard of DOING things for the middle class? Republicans don't... Democrats do. Ask Warren Buffet, he's the fourth richest person on the planet, and disagrees with the greed of Bush and his conservative buddies about the tax code. Read, and be freed my friend.

Members of Bush's cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. The 'poorest' multimillionaire, Condoleezza Rice has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

Reply:Well, you have already made up your mind, so let all the people who think Democrats are the richest agree with you. All the non-politicians who are Republicans are usually either well-off are loaded.
Reply:There is no real difference between the two main parties anymore. They just want you to think there is, but the are really both the same. There are a few individual exceptions, but the parties as a whole, are both owned and controlled by the same small group of people. There is a big difference between Liberal and Conservative, but the parties have nothing to do with those ideologies. *sm*

Reply:Well of course all of the senators democrat or republican are going to be rich now. But its not about that, its about where they came from before they were put into office, and what beliefs they are fighting for, if they are fighting to help poor people or the rich.
Reply:Don't forget George Soros. His money is running for President this year. The Democrats are bought and paid for. So, it's not that they're rich, they're just the most corrupt in the worst way possible - manipulating the common, working person and Chinese dishwashers into opening their wallets.
