Party and a money issue!!?

I'm a 16 year old male hosting a party for an average group of 25 friends. I am having my band play, and two other bands play. I want to buy Pizza, Soda, and Chips. I only have 5 dollars! The guests are already invited and I am not going to cancel this party. The party begins on August 30th, at 4:30 PM, Eastern Time! Are there any quick ways to make money? I am unemployed at the moment. And I need to know what I can do! Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also...any good ideas for a party of 14-16 year olds?

Party and a money issue!!?
i suggest sending out a memo that says please bring something with you....what's a party if everyone that's coming doesn't chip in?....that is what we always do, and it's amusing seeing some of the things that people bring with them.
Reply:Charge cover at the door, or tell people to bring stuff. Both if your smart. Borrow cash from some oldie, then promise to pay them back that night. Pay um with the cover so they will do it again next time.
Reply:will your parents help you out...borrow a loan from them lol...so you don't have to rush..and then find a part-time job somewhere and pay them back later...i did that once
Reply:I think...though you could just ask you parents to foot the bill and you will work it off over the remainder of the summer Have a big cool-aid sale every day between the hours of 10am to 2 pm ....and 5 pm to 7 you will be able to do this can you take contributions...I will supply the coolaid or at least donate alot...IM me and tell me where to send the cool-aid
Reply:Try selling your Ipod, or Stereo ... that's a start. ....
Reply:yea..beg your parents for a loan and in the future plan more wisely before planning a party of that size without precharging(or at least intent to charge admission) make sure you have an income...its great that you have the desire to entertain and throw a party however its more wise to do when you actually have money...aside from asking for a loan from family have the bands throw in as they are getting free exposure currently...that or sell your soul to the crazy guy at your local subway station every day for a week. Ask your neighbors if they have any jobs they need done after saying your trying to raise money for your band and then work hard and make the money.
Reply:slang rock..lol

cut grass maybe?

pick up dog poo?

sell some of you stuff?
Reply:Sell some of your old clothes to a second hand store.

Mow some lawns.

Sell some old or not being used dvd's/cd's that you have aquired.

Pawn something for awhile to give you a longer time to gain cash.

When you go to buy the stuff try and buy in bulk if you have any stores around that have to do so.

You can always buy cheaper soda ( either 2 liters or cans)

And check around for deals at local pizza shops that may be running or ask if there is a discount for larger orders.

Look for coupons ect.

Have a happy party!
Reply:It's tough to be 16 and only have 5 bucks in your pocket! That's hardly going to feed %26amp; refresh 25 friends. I don't know if you've thought of it this way but since your band and two others are supplying the music and you're supplying everyone the place to gather (I assume it's your home) then why not ask the other to chip in and supply the food and drink. I know 16 year olds can eat a lot of pizza and down quite an amout of soda and chips, however, this is a great way to host a party and learn some things about planning in advance! Figure 1 large pizza for every three guys attending. That's a bit over 8 pizza's for the group. Buy 3 liter bottles if you can and figure 1 liter per person. Again that's a little over 8 bottles for the group. 3-4 big bags of chips should do it for everyone. If you can, depending upon where you live, go to one of those buying warehouse's like Sam's Club. B.J's, Costco or whatever you have there. The prices should be cheaper. If you don't have anything like that, walk into your local grocery store and speak to the manager. Tell him what you're doing and ask him if he can give you a bit of a discount if you buy everything from him...even the pizza's! If not, try and make a deal with your local pizzaria. They're usually pretty good about doing stuff like that. With the 5 bucks you have you could probably buy the chips or earn a few more bucks and you'll have more chips than you need. Quick ways to make money...hmmm. Mow a few lawns, wash some cars, do a few chores for someone, ask around and I'd bet there's something you can do to make what you need. Good luck and have fun!
Reply:Since you have bands and are providing food, I would ask for $2 each at the door. Should cover it.
Reply:You could borrow some money from friends or get a quick job at mcdonalds to make some money. Just a suggestion.
Reply:no offense, but you didn't plan very well, did you? Where is the party being held? If it is at your mom's house, ask them if you can borrow the money and that you will "work it off" with chores. The other suggestion is to start mowing some grass. You should get enough money with just 2 yards at about 20 to 25 bucks per yard. I would also find out if anyone you know, including your own family, if they have an account with Sam's club or Cosco, 'cause you can buy bulk or large quanities for less. If not, try Walmart. I find it irrisponsible on your part to plan such an event and you are old enough that you should have more sense, and if you were my son, I would not allow the party as a means of teaches you responibility, and it sounds like you just wanted to be "big" and now you have to save face!!
Reply:Hey, its your party and you are supplying the venue and the music! Tell your guests to stump up 5 dollars each and that will cover the pizza, soda and chips!

Problem solved ;o)
